      What do you need to travel?

      PCR and vaccination requirements

      Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated. This does not apply to:

      • Passengers below the age of 25 years.
      • Passengers with a government-approved medical certificate issued by a doctor confirming that:
        • passenger is pregnant;
        • mother is breastfeeding an infant under 6 months old;
        • passenger has a medical condition.

      Passengers must have a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate issued at most 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary and at most 120 hours prior to arrival. The test result must be in English or French. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years. 

      Passengers are subject to medical screening and quarantine at their own expense. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years. 

      All passengers must have the required documents for their transit and final destination country.

      Eritrea

      Ethiopia

      What do you need to travel?

      All passengers must have:

      • a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result certificate in English with a QR code from a test taken at most 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary; OR
      • a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result certificate in English with a QR code from a test taken at most 24 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary; OR
      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate in English with a QR code showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria),Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac; OR
      • a COVID-19 recovery certificate with a QR code issued at most 90 days before arrival.

      This does not apply to passengers under 12 years.

      Passengers with a diplomatic passports arriving without one of the above documents are subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival and/or are subject to self-isolation for up to 7 days.

      Passengers arriving in and departing from Ethiopia must verify their negative COVID-19 certificate at https://trustedtravel.panabios.org by using the same email address that has been registered with the testing laboratory.

      Passengers departing from a country that doesn’t have a PanaBIOS registered lab (Trusted Lab) can upload their negative COVID-19 certificate at https://globalhaven.org/ and signing up for an account.

      To upload the certificate passengers need to log in or register at https://globalhaven.org/ or https://trustedtravel.panabios.org and click the "Check in" button on the dashboard. This will generate a Trusted Travel code (TT code) that is automatically integrated with PanaBIOS Electronic System. For any assistance, please contact globalhaven@panabios.org.

      Passengers must complete the Monkeypox Health Declaration Form.

      Ethiopian immigration has temporarily suspended visa on arrival provision for all passengers. This does not apply to:

      • Passengers whose passport states their place of birth is Ethiopia*.
      • Passengers holding a confirmation letter from the Ethiopian immigration authorities that states they are granted a visa on arrival.

      Passengers can now apply for an e-visa online at www.evisa.gov.et.

      *Foreign citizens whose passport states their place of birth is Ethiopia need to get an OK to board approval in advance to be accepted on the flight and qualify for visa on arrival.

      South Sudan

      What do you need to travel?

      PCR test result required to travel

      Please note that all passengers must present a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 test result issued in English. The test must be taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival. Citizens of South Sudan and foreign nationals of South Sudan origin are subject to 14-day home quarantine if they are unable to obtain a PCR certificate.

      Visa on arrival is currently suspended for passengers with a normal passport. This does not apply to citizens of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

      Passengers must obtain a pre-arranged visa from either the South Sudan Embassy/Consular in the country of departure or apply for an e-visa from https://www.onlinevisa.com/south-sudan-visa/. Passengers who hold a special approval letter for visa on arrival will need to obtain OKTB from Juba station prior to departure.

      Members of UN travelling on this flight are required to present a clearance obtained from the National Task Force of South Sudan.

      Somaliland

      Passengers who are arriving from or have transited through India, Nepal or Pakistan will be subject to a PCR test on arrival.   

      Passengers and airline crew are subject to medical screening and quarantine for 7 days.

      Sudan

      • a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate with a barcode or a stamp or a signature or a QR code from a test taken at most 96 hours before arrival, if arriving from Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China (People's Rep.), Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Dominica, the Dominican Rep., Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, India, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jamaica, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago, the USA, Uruguay or Venezuela.

      Tanzania

      What do you need to travel?

      Passengers and airline crew travelling to Zanzibar must complete the"Traveller's Surveillance Form" at https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz/ at most 24 hours before arrival.

      Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival and quarantine until they receive a negative test result, if they do not have:

      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm and Sinovac; or
      • a negative COVID-19 NAAT or RT-PCR test result certificate with a QR code from a test taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary.

      This does not apply to:

      • passengers younger than 6 years;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 10 days and at most 180 before arrival.

      Passengers traveling to Zanzibar (ZNZ) from the United Arab Emirates are subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival. This does not apply to passengers younger than 6 years.

      Passengers arriving from Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, France, India, the Republic of Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa, the United States of America, Uganda and the United Kingdom are subject to a COVID-19 rapid antigen test upon arrival at their own expense (the cost is USD 10). To avoid the long waiting time passengers can pre-book their rapid antigen test at https://zanzibarcovidtesting.co.tz/app/home before departure. This does not apply to passengers who are 5 years or younger.

      Uganda

        Children under 6 years old are exempt from this requirement. 

      All visitors must have a confirmed return or onward flight ticket.

      Uganda has suspended the visa on arrival facilities for passengers with a regular passport.

      • a COVID-19 recovery certificate and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one vaccine dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) or Sinovac.

      This does not apply to:

      • citizens and residents of Finland;

      Who can travel?

      Citizens of the UAE can obtain a visa on arrival for up to 90 days provided they have a valid passport for the duration of their stay.

      Residents of the United Arab Emirates with their residence visa valid for at least 30 days beyond the period of intended stay and arriving directly from the United Arab Emirates can obtain a visa on arrival for 10 days provided they have a confirmed return flight and hotel booking. Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 3 months beyond the period of intended stay.

      Russia

      What do you need to travel?

      All passengers travelling or transiting via Russia must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 48 hours before arrival. The test result must be in English or Russian. A notarised translation to Russian is accepted. This does not apply to:

      • citizens of Russia;
      • passengers arriving from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova (Rep.), Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

      Passengers arriving from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova (Rep.), Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 48 hours before arrival. The test result must have a green QR code obtained in the app 'Travelling without COVID-19'. This doesn’t apply to citizens of Russia. 

      Passengers must complete an "Application Form" and present it upon arrival.

      Ukraine

      Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter Ukraine. 

      This does not apply to the following categories of passengers who must self-isolation for 14 days on arrival: 

      • citizens and residents of Ukraine; 
      • spouses and children of citizens of Ukraine; 
      • passengers with a diplomatic passport.

      What do you need to travel?

      All passengers travelling to Ukraine must present:

      • a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival; or
      • a negative rapid antigen SARS-CoV-2 test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival; or
      • a COVID-19 recovery certificate; or
      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they were fully vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Sinopharm or Sinovac. The COVID-19 vaccination certificate must be in English or translated in English.

      The above does not apply to:

      • citizens and permanent residents of Ukraine;
      • passengers younger than 12 years;
      • passengers with a diplomatic passport;
      • merchant seamen;
      • NATO military personnel.

      Passengers arriving from or who have transited through India or Russia are subject to quarantine for 14 days. This does not apply to:

      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or Sinovac;
      • passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate.

      Passengers must install the Vdoma application on their personal device. This does not apply to:

      • citizens of Ukraine;
      • passengers younger than 18 years;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or Sinovac;
      • passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate.

      Passengers must have medical insurance to cover medical expenses in Ukraine. This does not apply to:

      • citizens and permanent residents of Ukraine;
      • passengers with a diplomatic passport;
      • merchant seamen;
      • NATO military personnel.

      All passengers need to present a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result certificate from a test taken no more than 72 hours prior to the departure of the first flight of their itinerary. This doesn’t apply to:

      • children under 12 years old;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they are fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm and Sinovac.

      Passengers entering or transiting through Bangladesh must complete a "Health Declaration Form" at most 3 days before departure at https://healthdeclaration.dghs.gov.bd/. This will generate a QR code which must be presented before boarding and upon arrival.

      India

      Who can travel?

      The following categories of passengers are permitted to enter India:

      • citizens and residents of India;
      • citizens of Bhutan, the Maldives and Nepal;
      • passengers with an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card or booklet (if OCI is issued against an old passport, passenger must carry both new and old passports);
      • passengers with a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) card;
      • passengers with a diplomatic passport and an NOC (No Objection Certificate) issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

      With immediate effect, foreign citizens with e-tourist and type T tourist visa, both paper and sticker, issued before 06 October 2021, are now allowed to enter except for citizens of China and Afghanistan.

      • citizens of the United States of America and Japan who are holding old and valid long duration sticker visas (valid for 10 years). Regular tourist visas are restored and remain valid for entry. 
      • long duration regular tourist visas (sticker visas) issued to citizens of Canada before March 2020 remain suspended. 
      • medical visas issued on or before 21 October 2021 are no longer valid. 

      Tourist visas issued to citizens of China (People's Rep.) are no longer valid.

      Tourist visas with a validity of 10 years are no longer valid. This does not apply to citizens of Japan and the United States of America.

      E-tourist visas are valid for the following passengers:

      PCR test and documents required on arrival to India

      All passengers must present a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 CRISPR, RT-LAMP or RT-PCR test result certificate from a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure of the first flight of their itinerary. The test result must be uploaded at www.newdelhiairport.in. This does not apply to:

      • children below 5 years;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days before arrival.       Passengers must present a hard copy of their negative COVID‑19 CRISPR, RT-LAMP or RT-PCR test or vaccination certificate at the time of departure. Digital copies will not be accepted for travel. The certificate should be in English, specifying the name of the passenger and the result of the test or vaccine taken. 

      Passengers must complete the self-declaration form before departure. They must select ‘Air Suvidha' in the right top corner at www.newdelhiairport.in.

      Passengers are subject to random testing on arrival at the airport. Passengers selected for testing will submit the samples and be allowed to leave the airport. Passengers who test positive will be treated/isolated according to current health authorities' guidelines.

      All passengers must download the Aarogya setu app on their mobile devices.

      Passengers travelling to India from the UAE must make sure that their negative COVID-19 PCR test result is issued by an authorised laboratory in the UAE. PCR test result certificates issued from any other country will not be accepted for travel.

      Foreign citizens with international connections from any airport of India are required to hold a pre-approval from the connecting airline prior to departure from their originating point. If pre-approval can’t be obtained, passengers must hold a valid visa (not a tourist visa) to enter India and follow the PCR requirements and state regulations.

      Foreign citizens with domestic onward connections must hold a valid India visa and follow the PCR and state quarantine regulations. Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan are exempt from this requirement.

      Additional requirement for travel to Hyderabad (HYD)

      All passengers must complete the RT-PCR test form prior to arrival in Hyderabad. The form can be downloaded at http://mapmygenome.in/pub/media/docs/COVID-19/Covisafe-Form.pdf. Passengers must carry 2 printed copies of the Air Suvidha form.

      Maldives

      Nepal

      • holders of a diplomatic passport, travelling on duty;
      • passengers with a tourist entry visa;
      • passengers eligible for visa of arrival;
      • foreign citizens of Nepalese origin whose passport states Nepal as the place of birth;
      • relatives of citizens of Nepal;
      • passengers with a pre-arranged tourist visa issued by the Embassy or Consulate of Nepal;
      • passengers with a confirmation letter that a visa on arrival has been approved before departure by the government of Nepal.

      What do you need to travel?

      PCR and vaccination requirements

      Passengers must have: 

      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival; OR
      • a negative COVID-19 test result certificate from a test taken at most 72 hours before the departure of the first flight of their itinerary. Tests accepted are GeneXpert, NAAT and RT-PCR.

      This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.

      Citizens of Nepal arriving from Ukraine are exempt from pre-departure COVID-19 entry requirements. They are subject to antigen tests on arrival. 

      Required documents

      Passengers must obtain an “International Traveller Online Arrival Form" at https://ccmc.gov.np/.

      Antigen test on arrival

      Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival. This does not apply to:

      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival;
      • passengers with a negative COVID-19 GeneXpert, NAAT or RT-PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 72 hours before the departure of the first flight of their itinerary.

      Visa on arrival

      Visa on arrival facilities restarted for eligible passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival OR holding a negative PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before the departure of the first flight of their itinerary.

      Citizens of the following countries (except for officials and diplomatic passport holders): Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Liberia, Nigeria, Palestine, Somalia, Swaziland, Syria, Zimbabwe and refugees with travel documents are requested to obtain a tourist visa from an Embassy or a Consulate of Nepal prior to departure. 

      Departing from Nepal

      Passengers must complete an “International Traveller Online Departure Form" at https://ccmc.gov.np/.

      Passengers departing from Nepal must comply with the requirements of the transit and destination countries.

      • passengers with a medical certificate specifying that the passenger cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons.

      Passengers must have an original valid certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure. The test result must be in Arabic or English. This does not apply to:

      • passengers fully vaccinated against COVID-19;
      • passengers younger than 12 years.

      Passengers must download the Pass Track App before boarding and submit their personal details or submit their details at https://passtrack.nitb.gov.pk/ and have a printed confirmation. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years.

      Passengers arriving from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates could be subject to a COVID-19 rapid antigen test upon arrival. This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years.

      Passengers and airline crew could be subject to quarantine for up to 10 days.

      Passengers travelling from Pakistan can get their PCR test result certificate from one of the approved laboratories in Pakistan.

      Sri Lanka

      Who can travel?

      This flight is open to all nationals and visitors subject to entry requirements and restrictions.

      What do you need to travel?

      Passengers travelling to Sri Lanka must have: 

      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before departure; or 
      • COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 7 days and at most 6 months before departure, and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received a vaccine dose at least 14 days after the positive test and at least 14 days before departure; or 
      • a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or 
      • a printed negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

      The test result must be in English. Self-testing tests are not permitted.

      This does not apply to:

      • children younger than 12 years old;
      • passengers between 12 and 18 years with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one vaccine dose at least 2 weeks before departure. Vaccines accepted are Moderna (Spikevax) and Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty).

      Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. This does not apply to:

      • passengers younger than 12 years;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before departure;
      • passengers with COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 7 days and at most 6 months before departure, and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received a vaccine dose at least 14 days after the positive test and at least 14 days before departure;
      • passengers between 12 and 18 years with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one vaccine dose at least 2 weeks before departure. Vaccines accepted are Moderna (Spikevax) and Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty).

      Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before departure traveling as tourists can obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) on arrival. This does not apply to citizens of Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan and Syria. They must obtain a pre-arranged visa.

      Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 test and quarantine upon arrival at their own expense. 

      E-visas can be obtained before departure at https://evisa.mfa.ir/en/. Passengers must have an e-visa confirmation and return/onward tickets.

      Passengers can check the status of the e-visas issued by Iran online via https://evisatraveller.mfa.ir/en/request/status/ or scan the QR code on the top-left of the visa page. The visa status must show “issued” for passengers to be accepted.

      What do you need to travel?

      Entry statement form

      Passengers must complete an Entry statement form at https://www.gov.il/en/service/request-entry-to-israel-covid19 no more than 10 days before departure of the last direct flight to Israel. They will receive electronic approval from the Ministry of Health and a Green Pass which must be presented before boarding.

      Health insurance

      Passengers travelling to Israel (TLV) must have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses. This does not apply to:

      • citizens of Israel;
      • residents of Israel with A1-A5 or B1 visa;

      What do you need to travel?

      Travel restrictions and requirements to Beirut

      Passengers travelling to Lebanon must have: 

      • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; OR
      • a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.

      This does not apply to:

      • fully vaccinated passengers who have received a booster dose of any COVID-19 vaccine. 
      • passengers fully vaccinated no more than 6 months before arrival. 
      • passengers younger than 12 years; 
      • passengers returning to Lebanon within 7 days. 

      If the validity period of your test result is different in the country you are departing from or travelling to, you should follow the requirement which is most restrictive.

      Only the following categories of passengers are allowed to transit to Belarus via Dubai: 

      • citizens of Lebanon with valid visa or residence permit in Belarus;
      • citizens of Belarus;
      • foreign citizens with residence permit in Belarus.

      Passengers transiting through Beirut (BEY) to Syria by land must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 48 hours before departure. This does not apply to: 

      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 6 months before departure; or 
      • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose at least 14 days before departure;
      • passengers younger than 12 years. 

      All passengers travelling to Syria via Lebanon, except citizens of Syria and members of international organizations and diplomatic delegations working in Syria, are required to hold a pre-approval issued by Syrian authorities to travel.

      All passengers with a Syrian Travel Document issued for Palestinian Refugees (Document de Voyage pour les Refugies Palestiniens) require a visa to transit via Lebanon. These passengers are permitted to transit without a visa for a maximum stay of 24 hours if they hold a residence permit issued by a third country, are continuing to Syria, or have previously travelled out of Beirut with an immigration exit stamp from Lebanon.

      Passengers and airline crew arriving from Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka are not allowed to enter Qatar. This does not apply to:

      • citizens of Qatar, their spouses and children;
      • residents of Qatar; 
      • citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates;
      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 9 months before arrival; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and received a booster dose at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or 
        • they received two doses of Janssen at least 7 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival. They must also have a positive antibody test result issued at most 30 days before arrival or must quarantine for 5 days; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, and received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival.
      • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at most 12 months after testing positive. Passengers must also have a previous positive COVID-19 result;
      • passengers younger than 12 years travelling with fully vaccinated parent(s).

      Effective immediately, citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are allowed to enter Qatar without a passport, if travelling with their national ID card.

      PCR and vaccination requirements

      Passengers and airline crew must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 48 hours before the departure of the first flight of their itinerary. This does not apply to:

      • citizens and residents of Qatar arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, Egypt, Georgia, India, Jordan, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines or Sri Lanka;
      • citizens and residents of Qatar with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 9 months before arrival; or
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and received a booster dose at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
        • they received two doses of Janssen at least 7 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival. They must also have a positive antibody test result issued at most 30 days before arrival or must quarantine for 5 days on arrival; or

      • citizens and residents of Qatar with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at most 12 months after testing positive. Passengers must also have a previous positive COVID-19 result;
      • citizens and residents of Qatar younger than 12 years accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents or recovered parents;
      • citizens and residents of Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Arab Emirates arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 9 months before arrival; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and received a booster dose at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
        • they received two doses of Janssen at least 7 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival. They must also have a positive antibody test result issued at most 30 days before arrival or must quarantine for 5 days; or 
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, and received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival. 
      • citizens and residents of Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Arab Emirates under 12 years old arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka and accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents or recovered parents. 

      Passengers must:

      • register at https://www.ehteraz.gov.qa/ at least 3 days before arrival and obtain pre-travel approval. This does not apply to:
        • citizens and residents of Qatar;
        • citizens and residents of Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Arab Emirates, or passengers arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka who have registered in one of the following apps: Al Hosn, BeAware Bahrain, European pass, NHS COVID Pass, Shlonik, Tarassud and Tawakkalna. They must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
          • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 9 months before arrival; or
          • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and received a booster dose at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
          • they received two doses of Janssen at least 7 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
          • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival. They must also have a positive antibody test result issued at most 30 days before arrival or must quarantine for 5 days; or
          • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, and received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival.
      • complete the “Undertaking and acknowledgment form" before arrival. The form can be found at https://covid19.moph.gov.qa/EN/travel-and-return-policy/Pages/default.aspx. This does not apply to citizens and residents of Qatar with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated in Qatar, with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days before arrival and arriving from a country other than Bangladesh, Egypt, Georgia, India, Jordan, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines or Sri Lanka.

      Citizens and residents of GCC countries who meet the immunity criteria can use the following COVID-19 health applications and will be exempt from online pre-travel Ehteraz registration on condition that it reflects their immune status:

      • Bahrain: BeAware Bahrain App
      • Saudi Arabia: Tawakkalna App
      • Kuwait: Shlonik App
      • Oman: Tarassud App
      • the United Arab Emirates: Al Hosn App

      They are required to proceed to any authorised private clinic for a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of their arrival in Qatar.

      Citizens and residents of the European Union who meet the immunity criteria, can use COVPass health application and will be exempt from online pre-travel Ehteraz registration on condition that it reflects their immune status. They are required to proceed to any authorised private clinic for a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of their arrival in Qatar.

      Quarantine requirements

      Passengers arriving from Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines or Sri Lanka must have a confirmed quarantine hotel package for 5 days booked at https://www.discoverqatar.qa/welcome-home/.

      This does not apply to:

      • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 9 months before arrival; or
        • they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) and received a booster dose at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
        • they received two doses of Janssen at least 7 days and at most 12 months before arrival; or
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival. They must also have a positive antibody test result issued at most 30 days before arrival or must quarantine for 5 days; or
        • they were fully vaccinated with Covaxin, Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, and received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days and at most 12 months before arrival.
      • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at most 12 months after testing positive. Passengers must also have a previous positive COVID-19 result. Passengers who are not citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates or residents of Qatar must still have a confirmed quarantine hotel package for 1 day.

      Passengers could be subject to home quarantine for up to 5 days.

      Visa on arrival 

      Visa on arrival facilities restarted. 

      Residents of GCC countries can obtain visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days. GCC residence permit must be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the arrival date. Passengers must:

      Citizens of Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Palestinian Territories, Somalia, Syria and Yemen who are residents of GCC countries can now obtain the visa on arrival facilities at Doha. Passengers must have:
      • GCC residence permit and passport valid for a minimum of 03 months from the arrival date; and
      • the job title mentioned in GCC residence permit in Arabic must be one of the titles listed here. This does not apply if the sponsor is a citizen of Qatar and travelling with the passenger; and
      • a confirmed and paid hotel booking for the intended days of stay. This does not apply if the sponsor is a citizen of Qatar and travelling with the passenger; and
      • a valid and confirmed return or onwards flight booking; and
      • arrive from their country of residence.

      This does not apply to passengers with a travel document issued to refugees and stateless persons.

      Visa on arrival for the above nationalities is not available for the professions of Partner, Investor, or the sponsor, except for Permanent or Golden Resident visa holders.


      Citizens of India, Pakistan and Iran can get visa on arrival in Qatar for a period of confirmed hotel stay booking* in one of the country's hotels available through Discover Qatar website only (https://www.discoverqatar.qa/). The visa can be extended for a maximum stay of 60 days when hotel reservation is extended. Hotels booked on any other platform/websites are not accepted.

      *The hotel booking through Discover Qatar website is not applicable if the above-mentioned citizens hold a valid GCC issued residence permit and are eligible for visa on arrival based on GCC residence and their profession mentioned on GCC issued residence permit.

      Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival.

      Saudi Arabia

      Who can travel?

      The following categories of passengers are permitted to enter Saudi Arabia:

      • citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia;
      • first-degree family members of citizens of Saudi Arabia;
      • citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates;
      • passengers with an exit/entry, work, residence, tourist or visit visa issued by Saudi Arabia;
      • domestic workers of citizens of Saudi Arabia. They must be accompanied by the sponsor;
      • domestic workers of citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. They must be accompanied by the sponsor or one of the first-degree family members of the sponsor;
      • passengers with an Umrah visa (only to Jeddah, Madinah or Yanbu).
      • passengers travelling to Madinah (MED) with a visa issued to attend the Madinah Book Fair 2022.

      Effective immediately, citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are allowed to enter Saudi Arabia without a passport, if travelling with their national ID card.

      Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival.

      Passengers travelling from or who have been in Iran or Lebanon in the past 14 days are not permitted to enter Saudi Arabia. This doesn’t apply to passengers who are fully vaccinated in Saudi Arabia. Passenger vaccinated out of Saudi Arabia must stay out of Iran and Lebanon for 14 days and can travel to Saudi Arabia on the 15th day. All passengers must hold COVID-19 medical insurance.

      Passengers with a visit visa must have medical insurance to cover COVID‑19 expenses during their stay in Saudi Arabia.

      Other information

      • All passengers, including citizens of GCC countries, must carry a valid passport.
      • Passengers travelling to Saudi Arabia must download and register on the Tawakkalna app on arrival.
      • Passengers holding Saudi Arabia Premium Residency can travel without submitting an exit/re‑entry visa to Saudi Arabia.

      Departing from Saudi Arabia

      Citizens of Saudi Arabia travelling outside the country must have received the booster shot of a COVID‑19 vaccine 3 months after receiving the second dose. This does not apply to passengers under 16 years old and exempted categories according to Tawakkalna app.

      Citizens of Saudi Arabia who have received all the required doses of an approved COVID‑19 vaccine in Saudi Arabia can travel outside the country. This category of passengers must update their status on the Tawakkalna app.

      Citizens of Saudi Arabia under 12 years old must have an insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank that covers treatment for COVID‑19 while abroad.

      All passengers must travel with their original passport, except for citizens of Saudi Arabia, who can travel with their national ID, subject to final destination entry requirements.

      United Arab Emirates

      Who can travel?

      Effective immediately, citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are allowed to enter the United Arab Emirates without a passport, if travelling with their national ID card.

      What do you need to travel?

      All passengers travelling to Dubai (irrespective of the country they are travelling from) will need to present one of the following on arrival in Dubai:

      • a printed or digital copy of a valid vaccination certificate (with a QR code except the US COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card) in English or Arabic showing the passenger has been fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization or the United Arab Emirates (AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V are accepted vaccines); or 
      • a printed or digital copy of a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate (with a QR code) in English or Arabic from a test (based on molecular diagnostic testing intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid for SARS-COV-2 viral RNA) taken by an approved health service no more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the passenger’s inbound flight to Dubai; or
      • a valid medical certificate (with a QR code) in English or Arabic issued by a relevant authority which shows the passenger has recovered from Coronavirus SARS Cov-19 within a period of one month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival. 

      Passengers may be asked to undergo a PCR test on arrival in Dubai and to self-quarantine until they receive a negative result. Passengers testing positive must follow the guidelines issued by the relevant health authority in Dubai.

      All passengers travelling to Dubai International (DXB) or Al Maktoum International (DWC) in the UAE must hold the correct travel documents for entry:

      • passenger passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date;
      • passengers arriving on a visit visa, tourist visa or visa on arrival must hold a valid return or onward ticket;
      • passengers must have their own valid travel document (i.e. a passport issued separately to them by the relevant authority of the country of citizenship);
      • children endorsed on a parent’s or guardian’s passport are not allowed to enter DXB or DWC.
      Georgia citizens can now obtain a visa on arrival in the UAE for up to 90 days. Passengers must have:
      • passports and other documents accepted for entry and valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date;
      • a valid return ticket.

      For passengers transiting in Dubai, the rules/conditions governing any further transit point or entry at the final destination will apply.

      If you are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 48 hours prior to the departure of your inbound flight to Dubai, you must be able to present a printed or digital copy of the negative result in English or Arabic to be accepted for travel. SMS certificates and handwritten test results will not be accepted. The test must be taken at an approved laboratory.

      Please note that negative PCR test certificates must be issued in the country of departure. However, negative PCR test certificates issued in the UAE can be used to return to Dubai if the test result is still valid.

      UAE nationals and first-degree relatives returning to Dubai

      UAE nationals are not required to present a vaccination certificate or a PCR test certificate before returning to Dubai from any country. UAE nationals may be asked to undergo a PCR test on arrival in Dubai.

      This exemption from the requirement to present a vaccination certificate or a PCR test certificate before travelling to Dubai is also extended to the following categories of passenger (irrespective of the country they are travelling from):

      • inbound passengers accompanying the first-degree relative of a UAE national;
      • domestic workers being accompanied by a UAE national sponsor.

      These exempted passengers must be travelling on the same flight as the relative or sponsor.

      Children under the age of 12 and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from testing. Moderate to severe disabilities include neurological disorders, as well as intellectual or developmental disabilities, for example, acute spinal cord injury, Alzheimer’s disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Ataxia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Bell’s Palsy, brain tumour, cerebral aneurysm, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, epilepsy and seizures. All other passengers (including those who are visually impaired, hearing impaired or physically challenged) must hold a negative COVID-19 PCR test result as per the requirements.

      Departing from Dubai

      UAE citizens aged 18 and above are exempted from the restriction of travelling outside of the UAE if they have:

      • completed 1 dose of an approved vaccine (provided a period of 1 month has not lapsed between the date of the vaccination and the date of travel); or
      • completed 2 doses of an approved vaccine.

      If not vaccinated, UAE citizens must be able to present a printed or digital copy of a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate (with a QR code) in English or Arabic from a test (based on molecular diagnostic testing intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid for SARS-COV-2 viral RNA) taken by an approved health service no more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure of their flight from Dubai.

      Subject to obtaining approval from the concerned authority, the following UAE citizens are also exempted from the restriction of travelling outside of the UAE:

      • individuals medically exempted from taking the vaccine;
      • humanitarian cases;
      • individuals travelling for medical and/or treatment purposes.

      For other cases not included in the list above, UAE citizens aged 18 and above must present an official letter from the relevant health authority in the UAE.
