Travel restrictions and entry requirements

  • Only Umrah visa holders and citizens of the GCC countries (excluding Saudi Arabia) can travel on Umrah flights (FZ 7000 to 7999).
  • Regular flights will arrive at and depart from the North terminal at Jeddah Airport.
  • Passengers holding Umrah visa can only travel to/from Jeddah, Madinah, Taif or Yanbu. 
  • Passengers holding business, tourist, or visit visas can travel to Jeddah (except Umrah flights FZ 7000 to 7999), Madinah, Taif or Yanbu to perform Umrah. 

COVID-19 and health requirements

It is a mandatory GCAA requirement for all passengers above the age of 6 years to wear a face mask during boarding and disembarking the aircraft.

To perform Umrah, it is required for visitors to obtain comprehensive health insurance, which includes coverage of treatment costs of coronavirus infection, accidents resulting in death or disability, expenses due to flight delays or cancellations, and other matters.

Zamzam water

Each passenger is permitted to carry 5 litres of Islamic Holy Water (Zamzam water) at no additional cost on their return flight from Jeddah, Madinah, Taif, or Yanbu. 

It's your responsibility to obtain the correct visa to enable you to travel on these flights. If you arrive at the airport and don't have the correct documentation you'll not be able to travel and there will be no refund offered.
