Trek through contrasting landscapes that sweep the country, from beaches and deserts, to mountains and salt mines. Breathe in the fragrant breeze of Pakistan’s very own ‘paradise on earth’, the glorious Hunza Valley or escape to the mountain retreats and Buddhist ruins in the bright alpine scenery of Swat Valley, east of Chitral.

Glimpse into the past

Take some time to truly immerse yourself in the architecture and museums of Pakistan. Admire the Buddhist statues in Lahore Museum, check out historic aircrafts at PAF Museum and step into Quaid-e-Azam House to learn about the founder of Pakistan himself.

Spice it up

Try authentic Pakistani cuisine once and you’ll want to stay in the country forever. Dive into creamy stews with fresh naan, savour the spices of a seekh kebab and indulge in a milky cup of a Kashmiri chai. Another popular Pakistani drink is mango lassi, a thick yoghurt drink that makes a perfect refreshment in the South Asian heat.

Get lost in a world of sport

Cricket in Pakistan predates the creation of the country itself, so it’s no wonder that it’s become the national sport. Be sure to head to one of the country’s many stadiums to watch a game during your visit. Polo is another popular sport in Pakistan. The Shandur Polo Festival is a huge annual event, where free-style polo can be enjoyed against a breathtaking rural backdrop.
