Your journey Riyadh to Baku
Your journey to Baku begins at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH). Situated 35 kilometres north of the city centre, it’s easily reachable by car or cab - grab a taxi for around SAR 100 from downtown Riyadh, or drive there and park in one of the airport’s 11,600 available car parking spaces.
On arrival, head to one of our flydubai check-in counters - open three hours before departure - to check in easily and efficiently. A member of our staff will be more than happy to help, or if you prefer, you can check in at one of the self-service kiosks available. To save time, check in between 48 hours and 90 minutes before your flight online. If you have any baggage to check in, you can do so at one of our bag drops before heading through security. Once you reach the departure lounge, relax and recharge at one of the many cafes or restaurants or stock up on souvenirs from the duty-free shops.
On arrival, it’s an easy trip to the heart of the city - Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) sits just over 25km to the east of Baku. Take the Aero Express Line to the centre using a BakuCard - available to purchase from the BakuCard kiosk at the main exit of Terminal 1 - or hop into one of the many airport taxis outside. Alternatively, if you’re planning on taking a few trips during your stay, hire a car with us and open the door to further exploration in Azerbaijan.

Modern, picturesque and steeped in culture, Baku is full of treasures. Nestled next to the Caspian Sea, you can catch some extraordinary sunsets strolling down the Danizkenari Bulvar pedestrian promenade. Follow it for long enough and you’ll chance upon the Sydney Opera House - inspired Caspian Waterfront building . For a glimpse of more traditional architecture, head down to the Palace of the Shirvanshahs or through the streets of the Old City, which has held official UNESCO World Heritage Site status since 2000. Make sure you take the time to feast - even the pickiest palates will fall in love with the city’s flavourful cuisine.
