Your journey
Head to Dubai International Airport (DXB) to begin your trip to Baghdad. The airport is located within easy reach of the city centre. To get there, book a taxi or make the most of public transport in Dubai. Buses and the Dubai Metro run regularly to DXB, with the nearest station Abu Hail only 2km away. Otherwise, you can drive and park at the airport.
Check-in is available online before you set off for the airport. Select your preferred seat, download your boarding pass and you’re good to go. If you prefer a more hands-on approach, check-in when you get there at either a flydubai desk or one of the airport’s self-service kiosks. Following check-in, the next step is dropping your bags off and heading through security. Once that’s done, you can relax and enjoy all the amenities on offer at Terminal 2.
You’ll touchdown at Baghdad International Airport (BGW), which is located only 30 minutes west of the city centre.

Explore its modern side at the restaurants peppered throughout the capital - don’t leave without sampling pistachio-stuffed pastries and traditional baked fish known as masgouf, a speciality in Baghdad.
