On the day of your flight, make your way to Jinnah International Airport (KHI). Named after the founder of Pakistan, this airport is the largest in the nation and sits approximately 45 minutes from Karachi. You can reach the airport by booking a taxi, or if you prefer to drive, there are ample car parks available at the airport.

When you arrive at the airport, head to the flydubai check-in desk and our friendly staff will be there to assist you. Here, we will check your travel documents, print off your boarding pass and check-in any baggage. You can then make your way through security and browse the restaurants, cafes and gift shops on offer while you wait for your gate to be announced.

Following the first leg of your flight over the Arabian Sea, we’ll touch down in Dubai International Airport (DXB) for a stopover. This can be as short as one hour, depending on the time and date of your departure. If you’re flying in Business Class, you can spend this time relaxing in the comfort of our exclusive flydubai Business Class Lounge. Spread across two floors, this peaceful area has leather armchairs, bistro cuisine and complimentary WiFi for you to enjoy. There are also a number of cafes and shops in the main area of Terminal 2, for the use of all our passengers.

After the second leg of your flight, which will take approximately three hours, you’ll land in Madinah at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED). From here, the city centre is just 15km away, which usually takes around 20 minutes. You can jump into a taxi – just make sure to check the price before you travel – or hire a car before you fly.

Discover Madinah

Deemed the enlightened city, Madinah is a Middle Eastern destination steeped in religious significance. In the sacred city centre, the splendid Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (translated as The Prophet’s Mosque) gleams with polished courtyards, towering minarets and iconic green domes. The vibrant lanes of the Old Bazaar are close by, hosting stalls piled high with everything from fashion items to electronics. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter these central zones, but there are activities for all to enjoy on the outskirts – including hiking up Mount Uhud and enjoying seemingly endless views that stretch for miles over the sandy Arabian lands.
