Your journey
Your journey to Karachi will be made up of two flights, stopping in Dubai International Airport (DXB) to catch your connection. The first leg of your journey will depart from Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED) in Madinah. From the city centre, the airport is 15km away - approximately 20 minutes by car. Parking is available on site if you plan to drive yourself. If you’re travelling in a taxi, take care to agree the fare before you set off. A journey to the airport from Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, in the heart of Madinah, should cost around 50 SAR.
You’ll find our check-in desks in Terminal 3. Here, our helpful team will take any hold baggage off your hands and present you with your boarding pass. We also offer an online check-in service which allows you to download your boarding pass before you go to the airport, up to 90 minutes before your flight. Those travelling with hand baggage only can check in online and skip the queues, heading straight to security a minimum of 60 minutes before your departure time.
While you’re waiting for your boarding gate to be announced, browse the shops and snack bars in MED. Pick up a book or magazine to read onboard and bag great deals in the duty-free store.
After around 2 hours and 30 minutes in the air, you’ll land at Terminal 2 of DXB. There’s a selection of popular cafes and restaurants where you can relax during the stopover, which could be as short as 1 hour and 5 minutes. If you’re a Business Class passenger, you can spend the time in our exclusive flydubai Business Lounge.
The second leg of your journey will take you to Jinnah International Airport (KHI) on the outskirts of Karachi. From here, the city centre is around 45 minutes’ drive away. Catch a taxi from the stand outside the terminal building or take the wheel and hire a car with us.
